ge triton xl dishwasher

i have a ge gsd6500j01ww triton xl dishwasher. the unit will not completely drain after the cycle is complete. ther is about and inch of water left. i dissassembled the unit and the pump does work and did not see any obstructions. the drain line is clear. eveything looks normal.
