I have a GE True Temp double built in oven. The top oven does not heat when you try to set it to ‘BAKE’. The temperature never changes. The elements are both cold no matter how long you wait. Could use some help troubleshooting and finding parts. Thanks!
Hi.
Please check the model number and re post it.This one doesn’t come up.
Simon.
Oh I found the correct Model number. It is model JPT45B0A1BB.
Hi.
Still incorrect model number. Please check it.
Simon.
Oops. I swapped the T and the P. It is JTP45B0A1BB.
Hi.
Does the broil works?
Does the lower oven works?
Simon.
The broiler on the top oven does not work. The lower oven works fine.
Hi.
Turn off the power to the oven.
Open the control panel, locate the BK1.Remove the wire from it (make sure it’s not touching anything).
Turn the power back on.
Using the multimeter check for 120VAC between that wire to the ground. If the 120VAC present turn the oven to BAKE and check for 120VAC from BA1 to the ground.
No voltage - replace the control board WB27T10283
Here are the breakdown parts and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/control-panel-parts-for-ge-jtp45ba1bb.html
Post the results.
Simon.
I have model JKP45OA1BB. Are the instructions the same? I took apart the top (control unit) and could find the BAKE1 wire. I am assuming that is the BK1 you are referring to. I do have voltage on that wire. I cannot find a BA1 wire though.
Hi.
Please, check the model number. Could it be JKP45BA1BB?
Simon.
Here is the model number: J KP45BOA1BB

Here is a picture of it.
Hi.
You have a different control board it’s WB27T10282.
What it the original problem. Please be more detailed.
Simon.
Yes. I have procrastinated for a year but I finally determined the control panel is bad for oven #1. No voltage out of BAKE 1. So I ordered the recommended part in this thread. Only upon inspection, i have a problem, the old control panel is part #wb27t10055 has been replaced with the new control panel part #wb27t10283, which is the part suggested here and confirmed by GE. Only the connections are slightly different. I am an electrical engineer and am comfortable making connector mondifications, but I cannot find any wiring diagrams to show me how.
