GE Washer dripping into tub when washer is off

I have a GE washer that is constantly dripping into the tub when the machine isn’t running. I have to turn off the water valves at the wall to keep the water from dripping. I’ve taken the inlet valve on the washer off to inspect for buildup and/or blockage and found nothing. Is it possible that the valve is bad or could it even be an electrical issue to where the valve is being held open by a faulty relay or something?

Unplug the washer and check if the dripping will stop.

If it would, plug it back in and check the voltage to the water valve solenoids. Post the results.

If it would not, replace the water inlet valve.

Thanks for the reply! I tried unplugging the washer and leaving the water valves on and it is still dripping into the tub. I’ll be picking up an inlet valve from the supply house today.
