GE Washer Drum Spinning Violently

Age is a guess. While washing a load of towels, the tub in the washer began spinning violently, hitting the sides, etc. After inspection, it seems that a black belt that attaches to it could be the culprit (it’s definitely broken). I have no experience with appliances, but if I don’t try to fix it, it will never get done. If someone could comment on whether this belt could cause such a problem, and if so where to get a replacement belt/how to install it, that would be fabulous. Thank you so, so much.

After some googling, I believe the item in question is called a "tub dampening strap" and there are four on each machine that should be replaced at once. I’m also including some cell phone pictures for reference - thought this would make identification easier. If someone could confirm this and direct me to replacement instructions, I’d be forever grateful.

Thanks again.

Anybody have an idea/ can confirm?
