After dishwasher fills it starts making a loud, grinding or buzzing noise during the wash cycle. I think the lower arm is rotating but cannot be sure. Have not been able to localize the origin of the sound. Don’t know if it would complete the wash cycle as I turn it off when the sound starts.

I did this with my Maytag QuietSeries 300 (top of the line they say) and it still continues. I have had so many service calls on this it is unbelievable. Maytag would not stand behind their product either…sad.
