Starting your Christmas time we started having trouble keeping the refrigerator side of the side-by-side unit cooling. Upon review of the freezer side compared to the fridge side I noticed that the freezer was cooling just fine, but the fridge side was having difficulty with temperatures exceeding 50°.

I opened up the freezer side and pulled off the back plate cover of the cooling coils and found it to be a solid block of ice. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice catching the water with towels restarted the unit and everything worked fine for approximately one month. Since that time I’ve repeated this process twice.

Can you please make some basic suggestions that would help me troubleshoot and analyze what the proper party is for repair?
Thanks in advance!
