haier fridge stopped cooling

Thanks in advance. haier fridge rrtg18pabw suddenly stops cooling. coils clean and all fans working. dial in off for 24 hrs, turn to cold setting fans come on. 30 seconds later hear click and get mild hum from compressor. 10 seconds later another click and no more compressor hum. cycle repeats every few minutes. what should i check. compresssor never seems to actually kick on and does not get warm…thanks again…
