Half a burner

I’ve owned a Maytag Gemini dual oven with a glass cooktop. Recently, the right front burner stopped working properly. This is the burner that can be used as a large or small burner. The larger outer part of the burner stopped working, but the inner, smaller burner still works. Do I need to replace the whole burner or is there another part that needs to be replace?

You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

Easiest is to remove the element and check it with a meter though often you can see where it is burned out. If it and the wiring going to it are OK I would replace the infinite switch.
