I have a Whirlpool electric dryer that has stopped making hot air when drying. I changed out both thermostats, and ordered and tried to install a new heating element. My problem is that I can’t figure out how to remove the heater box to access and remove the old heating element working from the back of the dryer. It is looking like I have to take the dryer apart piece by piece to get at the screw holding the heater box in place from the front. Should I just buy the repair manual with lots of photos to help me figure this out?
