I’m hoping someone might be able to help me out. My Facia Panel broke and I ordered the part here. The install seemed really simple and took about ten minutes. However, once we were finished we tested the machine and upon turning the power on we were greeted by a forever blinking Autowash light and the control panel showing the number 1.
I googled and couldn’t find any explanation as to what that means. I tried to hold the Powerscrub and regular wash buttons for the diagnostics, but that only comes up with a C3 code in the window. I have no idea what that means either as the troubleshooting manual I read had no reference to that either.
Now for the really weird part. If we kill power to the machine and then restore the power with the door shut, it come up running a regular wash cycle and will run through to completion. It just won’t run using the buttons at all.
It seemed so simple and I can’t imagine what I have done to mess up the machine.
For the exact same reason! The handle broke on the front fascia panel, we ordered a new one, replaced it and… the regular wash light flashes. If I leave it on, and throw the circuit breaker, it will run a wash. Could we have damaged the control panel?
I did the same thing and researched it to death…nothing, only suggestions to replace the control panel. It was just too coincidental that replacing the plastic on the front would short out the electronics.
It’s not the control panel electronics. Save your $150+.
The solution is pretty simple, after you spend an hour staring at the fascia piece from the back end. Review the buttons that are used for selecting various wash cycles. I bet when you installed the buttons on your new fascia, you didn’t know that order matters. It does.
If you remove the buttons and look at the back, you’ll notice the push part is longer on some than others. Now, line them up, face down. Arrange them tallest to shortest (left to right). Install them in the fascia this way, tallest towards the middle of the fascia, shortest towards the outside edge. It matters because the face of the fascia is curved and the buttons have to compensate for it.
