This is a GE dual evaporator unit. The problem is the freezer temperature is fluctuating between 0 to 26 F with a setpoint of 0. This temperature change is with the freezer full of food and no doors being opened.
Also the compressor is running 90 % of the time in a 75 degree ambient environment.
The fresh food temperature stays between 36 and 38 with a setpoint of 37.
The freezer temperature increases from 0 to 26 over a 30 minute period while the fresh food side is in a cooling cycle. It appears the freezer evaporator is heating up to the temperature of the fresh food side.
Checked all the door seals and ice flapper door. There is no ice build up on the evaporator coils and the evaporator fans are both blowing strong along with condensor fan. The freezer defrost heater is not stuck on and the lights are turning off.
Any ideas on what is wrong or how to troubleshoot?
