help with defrost timer.

Hello all, i got a new fridge awhile ago and after a few weeks i noticed it was getting warmer and warmer. So i called out a repair man and he came out and took the back of the freezer off and found it was a block of ice. He did some checks and said the heater seemed fine and thought it looks to be the defrost unit. The heater element looked as if it never was used but he check the conetions and said it looked fine. Si you took the number of the fridge and left and well never heard from him again. I live in a small town and its quick costly to bring someone out here. So if figured i would see what i can do. I have been unpluging it every 2 weeks to defrost then it works for 2 weeks and i do it all over again. So the modle number on the firdge is GBSCOHBXARWW now i have looked on line and it seems there sould be a number or 2 in it but my modle does not show it. It is a GE and about 1 year old. And there is no warrenty. So right now i have it taken apart to see the back and i cannot find the defrost timer, any ideas where it might be or where i might be able to see pics. The GE web site shoes my fridge being Model #: GBSC0HBXWW, but thats close what i have on my fridge but not exactly. Any help would be great, thansk all.
