I have a replacement defrost timer 482493. It shows three scenarios for connecting a wire labeled "timer loose motor lead" depending on whether it is a continuous run, or two different accumulated run clock modes.
My current clock has the loose wire go to a terminal on the thermostat, not back to pigglyback on one of it’s own terminals, either term 1 or term 2.
MY question is should I wire the loose black wire to the same terminal that my old one was?? Or should I try to identify what type of of run, continuous or accumulative I should wire too?
It also states to bend the tabs but my fridge has a plug with the 4 wire connecters in it so the tabs must remain straight.
Any help would be appreciated as my fridge is unplugged as I type this.
Thanks in advance
steve
