middle piece that seaparates freeze from fridge is Hot to touch. Is this normal? If not what might cause this?
If the unit has an eco switch or something similar to this turn it on.
Check your manual.
Some units have a heater in the divider that warms it up to prevent condensation in humid climates. Turning eco on turns the heater off.
Often this is due to poor air circulation around the condenser coils under the unit.
Check/clean the rear cover and kick plate vents.
Check/clean the condenser coils.
Check that the condenser/compressor fan (if the unit has one) is on whenever the compressor is on. Also make sure that the fan blades are clean.
