I live in a rental unit with a Maytag gas dryer. I ordered a new lint screen (a male part) from APP because the screen was broken and wouldn’t push down into the holder (a female part). Because of the misplaced screen, a large amount of wet lint has accumulated in the duct at the front of the dryer. I can’t clean it out without removing the holder, which is attached to the front of the drum.
I removed two little screws from the front of the dryer drum, but I can’t tell whether there are any other screws or clips holding the "holder" in place.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the holder?
