HELP!! All the directions i’ve gotten to open up the dryer don’t seem applicable to this model! Am I missing something??

I was able to figger out the clips to remove the front lower panel…but I am totally perplexed as to how to remove the tightly embedded end caps on the control top? Any advice out there? Pulling them, prying them…etc…even when loosening the main screws on top back…they just don’t seem to budge a bit! Help!!!
