Hub nut won't loosen!!!

Ok so the mode shifter on my washer crapped out so I ordered a new shifter, belt and hub nut wrench from here. Everything came apart easily until I got to the hub nut. This sucker won’t budge! I know it’s reverse thread and I read you gotta whack the wrench with a deadblow hammer… I did this and the sucker still won’t budge! It’s hard to get any momentum on the hammer because you have limited swing area in the basket. I’m thinking my next option is to heat up the nut with a torch. Any advice on this or any other ideas would be appreciated. This thing is kicking my butt.

Anyone? Please help

Per the GE instructions attached to the post, if spanner wrench did not work, you have to use much more powerful impact wrench.

Gene.

You could try Liquid Wrench Penetrating Oil.

Put it on and then check it every half hour or so in case it needs more.
Then let it sit overnight so it can soak in.
Just be sure to clean it up before reassembly
