Ice Maker Tube Frozen

The white tube inside the freezer that fills the icemaker froze up. I was able to thaw it out with a hair dryer and remove the ice inside the tube. What happens now is that when I fill a glass with water from the freezer door, water trickles out of the tube, overflows the ice maker and dumps into the ice bucket, freezing everything up. From what I read, the problem seems to point to the valve with the blue cap on it that is located on the back of the frige, on the bottom right, and has the plastic hose to the ice maker coming out of it. I just want to verify that I am on the right track, instead of just throwing parts into the thing. Thanks in advance.

You are correct, Replace the water valve!!!

It turns out that I had to replace both the primary and secondary water valves. Once done, all is now well in the world of my Amana Refrigerator.

I saw your post. In my case the water line connection to the Ice Maker Fill Tube on the back of the refrigerator has broken. I need to replace the entire fill tube. How does the fill tube come out? Do I simply pop it out somehow?

Thanks
