Icemaker Drips Water as it Fills

Hi,
Two problems. As the icemaker fills with water, water spills over into the icebucket and freezes the cubes.

Today, for the first time the water tube to the icemaker froze. Do I need a new valve? Will it fix both probllems? Is there an adjustment for water pressure?
Thanks for your help.

You need a valve to fix the problem with the tube freezing but the dripping may still exist. I see this a lot where the icemaker isn’t getting too much water it just drips while it is filling. If this is your problem and it doesn’t go away when you replace the valve try this. Remove the ice striper (the stationary white piece with fingers that separates the as it is dumping). Place a bead of RTV silicone on the edge of the cube mold closest to the fill cup. Then reinstall the ice striper. This page has a picture that will help http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/GE-icemaker-repair.html
