imc701 ice maker not making ice

My ice maker makes 1 batch of ice when I hit the reset button on the side of the unit. It seems that when it dispenses the ice from the tray the unit stops in the wrong position. It goes passed the stop point & leaves the full arm in the up position so it is sensing the ice tray being full. Any ideas if theres a way to reset the motor or gears so it stops before the full arm goes to the full position? I’m thinking thats my problem, any help would be great, thanks
