I replaced my ice maker because it stopped ejecting ice. After replacement I am having a problem with the water inlet tube freezing up when the ice maker has shut off for a while (a day). Do you think I need to replace the inlet valve next?
I bought a new valve, but I forgot to mark which way the wires went. There is a brown and white wire for the connector. Also, I’m not sure how to change the tubing because on the old valve the tube screwed in.
The wires are not polarity sensitive, can go on either way. You just push in the tubing into the fitting, just make sure the tubing is cut straight and not brittle. Once the valve captures the tubing, it is very hard to get out, so make sure is ok before plugging in.
