I have a new townhome with a 4 prong outlet. My neptune dryer has a 3 prong. I purchased the right cord, but now need to hhok it up. the dryer terminal has a black terminal, a white terminal and a third terminal with two blue wires on it. My 4 prong cord has a blk, wht , red and green wires. Where do they go??I have already blown one circiut board and have ordered a new one from you guys, please help.
what if there is no visible green ground screw on the unit? can I leave it off?
That green wire goes anywhere on the chassis(body) of the dryer. You really need this to be connected to the dryer. You could use one of those screws that hold the terminal block or just get a screw and make a hole.
I Have A Side By Side That Has Water Despenser And Ice Maker. The Water Dispenser Is Working Fine But I Am Not Getting Water To The Ice Maker. I Am Getting Water To Valve And Have Taken It Off And All Looks Fine. But Getting No Water From Valve To Ice Maker.
I tried swapping wires and got no water on either. Put wires back and got water from water dispenser but still none for ice maker
What If There Is A Green One On There Already
IDONTKNOWHOW!!
What exactly are you trying to do?
How is the dryer wired up currently?
What does the terminal block in the unit look like (4 connector, 3 connector etc.)
please help me! I know blk on left white in middle red on the right side of terminal. there is a green wire coming out of dryer what do I do with this? I know to attach the green wire on cord to the washer body
Trace it back to where it goes.
If it attaches to the frame then either:
Remove it and attach the green from the cord to the machine where the old green machine wire was attached.
OR
Use a wire nut and attach the green from the cord to the green from the machine.
