Good evening and Happy Easter Everyone!
I have a Kenmore 417.88042700 Dryer that is omitting three beeps and all the lights flash in conjunction with the beeping. Sometimes when I start the Dryer it goes right to cool down and will not heat. Other times it will heat and work but give me the three beeps over and over throughout the drying process.
I have read several posts on here that the problem is usually one of two things, either the Thermistor or the Control Board. I thought I’d start small so I replaced the thermistor and I thought I had it fixed as it worked fine for several loads. This weekend while doing our laundry, the beeping returned just as before.
So, I guess what I need to know at this point is if the Control Board is the likely culprit. The control boards are not cheap and to be totally honest I’m not sure I want to dump that kind of money in to this dryer. If I can get assurance that the control board is the problem then I might be swayed in to getting it.
