Model # D156W is a drop in electric. The oven operates normally except it won’t self clean. The fan comes on and the door lock cycles to close but then I hear a (relay) click and the door cycles to open and I get a “door” code.

I checked the lock mechanism and it seems to have continuity. Can you tell me where the relay (or whatever it is called) is located and how I can get to it?
There are two switches on the door latch and both of them must be closed when the door is latched.

Unfortunately sounds like your motor is shot.
Would help if you can identify where the crackling was coming from as this sounds like electrical arcing.
Give the motor a sniff if it smells burnt, it’s probably shot.
i HAVE REPLACED THE BURNERS AND THE IGNITER SWITCHS ON EACH GAS CONTROLL HANDEL. THE BUT THE BURNERS WILL NOT LIGHT UNLESS YOU USE A MATCH OR LIGHTER. WHAT SHOULD I TRY NEXT?
