Normally, one hits ‘Bake’ button, dials temp, and waits until oven heats up. About 6 months ago, the range began to turn off after a minute of so in pre heat. This could be overcome by hitting and holding the ‘Bake’ button a second time while oven was heating up; actually, holding the ‘Bake’ button until you heard a clicking sound. Recently, this workaround stopped working. Oven shuts off and you get persistent beeping, which is only stopped by cutting power to range.
Also recently, a F0 code was displayed once or twice. Evidently, F0 code indicates, "Function key stuck." Solution is "Replace touch pad or, if touch pad is part of the clock, replace the clock. My understanding is that, for the S176, the keypad is separate. Furthermore, the keypad is unavailable.
Suggestions? Would I be right in that it’s time to replace the range?
