Just replaced a thermostat in my GE DRYER

Problem: Dryer will run, but no heat.

Tested the resistance on the heater coils, was where it should be around 40 ohms…each coil is 19.2 ohms.

Next step, tested all 4 thermostats…3 were at .5ohms and 1 was at 103k ohms.

Ordered a replacement, and installed. (Inlet control thermister)

Made the mistake of not marking the wires. Upon applying power got buzzing and smoke.

Removed new thermostat, tested to have it read what the old one read.

Switched wires to the way they should be, again no heat.

Question, what is the resistance supposed to be for part number WE4M398? And should I order another new one?
