keeps sparking

I have a GE cooktop that has 5 burners that all spark every 2-3 seconds when they are all off.I have replaced the spark module thinking that this was the common part to all of the burners. The problem still exists after I replaced the spark module.Any suggestions??
Thank you

DK,

First, check and make sure the outlet for the cooktop is a properly polarized, grounded outlet, very necessary for a spark ignition range/cooktop.

Check and make sure the burner caps and bases are clean, and the caps are in the correct burner position and properly seated on the burner base.

Next check the igniter wires for cracks and breaks in the insulation, and make sure no wires are pinched or shorted to the chassis, and all ground connections are good and tight.

It doesn’t sound like you have a bad valve igniter switch,or wiring, I’d expect a more rapid and constant spark, if it were a problem there.
