I have a Kenmore that stopped putting out heat recently. Prior to this my wife would find the dryer on at night or random times of the day. I suspected the heater element and changed it out along with the thermal and high limit thermostats. No go at first, then it worked all of a sudden… then after one use it died again. I went and bought a multimeter and started testing. my new parts tested out fine, re-wired things again, switched the breakers etc… it worked again for 1 time only… So having already tested the new parts and seeing they where still good, I now replaced the small white Thermal Fuse and Cycling thermostat… all parts test good continuity… tested the Start switch as well… Everything so far tests fine and the dryer turns on and blows air but NO HEAT…
WHAT THE HECK am I missing???
NEW Parts on Dryer: VIEW PHOTO
Thermal Fuse

Thermal cut-off and High Limit Thermostat Kit
Heating Element
Basically every single part on the back of the DRYER is new and replaced.
I checked the power coming from the breaker and get: 240, 120, 120 on the three cables so that is fine also… I even checked the start switch… ( I hold it down to check continuity correct?)
What am I missing? Is it the Timer unit? Or is my dryer just DEAD? I have all new parts and no heat unless its some random time when it happens to work…
The only other thing is, I might not have put the wires back exactly the way they where on the original parts… but that doesnt matter correct? Or else, why would it randomly work? Please help me, I am new at this and have learned everything so far over the last few days…
