Kenmore 80 Series

I have a kenmore 80 series washer model 110.23832100. The timer goes through the entire cycle but the washer only goes through the wash cycle. No rince or spin cycle. Also i had noticed in the last few weeks when it did go through all the cycles, the clothes would still be partially soaked. i’m not sure whether it was not completely draining or spinning thoroughly.

HELP!!!

Thanks,

Gilbert

Gilbert,

Does it drain?

Gene.

The first thing i would do is check the lid switch (#11 on the diagram).

Gene.

No, it does not drain. It fills, washes then just stops aggitating when the timer reaches the end. it does the same thing on all cycles.

Gil

is it pretty much a open/close circuit switch or is there more to it? can i just just check for continuity?

My washer will do the same as Gilberts, but I will have to run the spin cycle to get the rest of the water out. Could this also be caused by the lid switch and how can I test it to make sure?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks,

Tim,

What is the complete model number of the washer?

Gene.

Gene,

It is a Kenmore series 80 model 110:23832100

Sorry forgot to put that in there.

Tim

Tim,

Sorry for the delay. You have to remove the washer cabinet and the pump, and check the pump and hoses for a clog inside (the instructions are attached). Perhaps it needs a new pump.

Gene.

Gene,

Thanks for the information I will look into it.
