Our oven will not disengage from lock activation mechanism. This activates when self cleaning cycle is used…cannot close the upper oven door w/o unit attempting to lock the door. Also, the oven lights quit working; we changed the bulbs, but to no avail…must be the touch pad?
Check the door lock switches for continuity according to the cam position.
If any of the switches is bad, replace the door lock assembly.
If there is nothing wrong, the control board has to be replaced. It also can cause a problem with the oven light. Unfortunately this part is no longer available.
