Dishwasher heating element not working.
Dishes remain wet after drying cycle.

Problem solved! The thermostat was bad and was replaced. Works like champ now. Thanks Gene for your help.

You have to have a simple multimeter to check all questionable parts before order any.
In order to provide more accurate advice we need the complete model number of the dishwasher.

Oh, i’m sorry, it’s the same model as the previous poster’s problem. it’s a Kenmore 587.15173400. The water never gots hot, nor does the drying cycle. We are thinking is the heating coil or the thermostat. Sounds similar to the above problem. Our dishes ar never clean enough.
