I have a Kenmore gas dryer that is not drying the clothes efficiently. It will dry clothes sometimes less 40 minutes and other times it will take 2 or 3 times as long. There is good exhaust flow. I’ve changed the termostat. It made no difference. Any clues as where to go next? Thanks
Check the lint screen. It can be blocked. Make sure the blower housing is clean and the blower wheel is fine. The model number you posted does not come up.

Thanks for the suggestion. The number, 100.71804000 is correct. There is no vent blockage. I’ve taken it all apart and cleaned it. The motor turns freely and I ran a cycle of clothes through monitoring the fan spped during that time at the exhaust end. There was always a steady flow of air. Is there something that tells the pilot light to ignite that could be causing the problem? The unit warms up, but I am wondering if it just does not stay on long enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Is this an American model? I’m not able to find any technical information. If there is a thermistor then it could cause a such problem.

My apologies. The number is 110.71804000.
You should have a small white plastic cover over the hole in the front panel. Remove this and check the flame. If it comes on, then goes off, you probably have bad gas valve coils. Just order them from this site.
Thanks. I will try that.
You are welcome. Keep us posted.
