Kenmore front loader wont agitate or spin

Found water in the washer and after fiddling with it realized that it wasn’t spinning. It did drain when moving the timer manually to the drain position, so the pump does work. On further inspection, the agitation cycle is not engaging, and the timer only advances to this point. If I manually move the timer to "drain," the timer does not seem to advance to Spin. I can’t get the motor to even sound like it wants to work. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: (1) replaced the door switch (no effect). (2) Cleaned out the coin trap (found about $1.50 in change). While doing these, I found that one of the shock absorbers was broken, offering the drum no support on one side. Could this have thrown the washer to some out of balance condition, requiring a reset? I am suspecting the spin control board, but want to make sure it isn’t something cheap and easy first. HELP!

If you still have water in the tub, it could very well be the pump.

It does pump water out, but it doesnt stop pumping. I cleaned out the coin purse, but it still pumps, butwon’t stop. Won’t go into spin. Is there a regulator that keeps it from spinning of there’s TOO much water in there?
