Kenmore side by side refrigerator

Hi there
I have a Kenmore refrigerator that stopped cooling. After doing a little research here I figured that I have a change if I replace the relay that connects to the compressor. I did that and after 1 week the refrigerator start buzzing again, stop cooling. The buzzing comes from the back of the refrigerator right where the compressor is located. Does anybody know if the compressor is the problem, or there might be something else wrong, something that I should test?
I want to make sure that the compressor is the problem before I bring the guys from sears to check it.
Thank You

When you changed the relay did you change the capacitor as well?
Also did you install part # 218721119 or was it a substitute?
BTW, you don’t have call sears because it says Kenmore. Your unit was made by Frigidaire, Kenmore doesn’t make anything.

This si the start device 218721119, this is the capacitor for your model
218909901. I only volunteer information here, but if you call customer service back they will probably correct the issue promptly.

welll… i called customer service and they re-checked the product numbers. They said that they are the correct numbers:
Part Number: AP4367355
Manufacturer’s Number: 5304468029 (218721119) made by FRIGIDAIRE
Part Number: AP4315853
Manufacturer’s Number: 5304464438 (218909901) made by FRIGIDAIRE
So assuming that those are the correct numbers(parts), is it fair to suspect that the compressor is at fault? or I should check something else?

Thank You again …

anybody? pleaseeee

Make a jumper wire from a regular cord and see if the compressor will start using the jumper cord.

nat

Thank You
How should i connect the jumper cord?
There are 3 points of connection for power on the compressor. That is the place where the starter capacitor/relay plugs into the compressor. They are in a star shape arranged. Where should I connect the power wire from the jumper cord?
