Kenmore Top Load washer sometimes clicks and will not enter the spin cycle.
Up to now have been able to get it to spin by turning the control knob manually to the spin
Any idea what’s up? Is an 11 year old washer worth messing with or is there other trouble on the horizon?
it is a good possibilty, that the lid switch is not making full contact. i would start there. your washer is the better made products out there. with a few repairs here and there it should go for 20 years. let me know what you find. tom %url%
Have you found out what is causing it. I have a whirlpool doing the same thing. Mine will spin from wash to rinse but not the final spin. It will also spin like yours if I turn the knob it drain and spin.
Tighten your lid hinges and lid switch screws:D .
Tried another load of clothes last night. Halfway through the agitation cycle, it began clicking loudly and stopped working.
Let it sit a while, kept retrying, sometimes works for a while or maybe not at all. Finally got all the water drained.
I will try the lid/switch suggestions tonight.
