Kenmore Stopped working

We moved the refrig out to the garage and plugged it in. My wife spent a long time super cleaning it with both doors open. It still ran when she finished and closed the doors. Later on it had stopped and won’t restart. A neighbor said capacitor but how do you check it? Thanks for your time.
