My Kenmore Ultra Wash III dishwasher, (since we got it), occasionaly would not begin to fill when we closed the dishwasher. We would spin the dial around, and all was well. Recently, we have noticed that the dishes have not been coming out clean. While observing the cycle, after the initial drain cycle, the dishwasher would not refill, so it was running on empty for that cycle. After observing this, I tried the "spinning the dial" trick to no avail, after I played with the water level sensor and re-closing the dishwasher, it began to fill. Upon reaching the next cycle, the same problem arose. I think the water level sensor is either corroded or "Gunked up". How do I remove the "white floaty thing" in the dishwasher cab? Anything else I can check?
Thanks
Hi, The water sensor level if to let the DW’s know how much water to fill so it won’t over flow and is not doing that.
this sound like your inlet valve if not letting the water in. take it off and check if there is any restrictions.
You might have a gummed up float. Just see if it moves up and down ok. Feal the water valve while it’s supposed to be filling,or check with a meter if it’s getting voltage. No voltage and a working float. probably means a bad timer.
