I found the service sheet and ran through the diagnostic cycles.
If I’m interpreting the sheet correctly, the only time the DETERGENT / RINSE AID DISPENSER is activated is in cycle 12. The solenoid clearly is energized and the detergent door does open. (I’m assuming this solenoid is also used to dispense the rinse aid at point in some rinse cycle.)
my washer on normal cycle the water fills up and the close wash fine but when it reaches the rinsen cycle the knob stops moving. but when use on the delicate cycle it works fine through out the complete cycle
I would suggest checking the spring on the dispenser door, it appears that the door may open a crack but will not flip up to release the tablet from the dispenser and will not totally dissolve, if powder detergent it will usually be washed out of the cup.
Take a moment to check your model number and make sure it is posted correctly. I was looking for a small moisture sensing board mounted next to the timer on your model and your model number posted does not exist.
Go to appliancepartspros.com plugin your dryer model # and it will take you to a diagram it is part 27 (AP3094277) they use to look like a small white (3/8 x 2)" ceramic rectangular block with a lead with female blade connector on each end. Have you tested the limit switches (Thermostats) to see if they are opening like they should. The temperature rating should be on it. Best way is electric skillet that you can set the temperature on. They should show continuity cold and open at rated temperature. (Place metal side down terminals up.) Don’t get burned, happy hunting
Get a skillet hot to the temp you want and set the thermostat in it klixon side down. Be sure to flour it well on both sides. Get it good and brown and check it for continuity. Goes well with kapers and some plum jelly.
Wow setting them controls on a skillet is a great idea. When do we eat?
I have finally met a repairman I like!
The donut is attached to the start switch. The reason I am wondering if this is the timer resistor is that it looks like the one in the diagram on the Sears web site. The Sears site is not responding right now, so I can’t paste a copy of it.
I cannot see anything looking remotely like a resistor near the timer.
Check for the wiring diagram inside the control panel and post it on the forum. If there is no one then you can order it from Sears. Part number for the wiring diagram is 3394594
Sounds like the connections are eroded or loose. First, check the power coming from the outlet. Then check the connections at the wiring terminal. (Don’t touch them unless the dryer is unplugged).
