kenmore- updating 3 prong to 4 prong. What do do with old ground???

so i removed the old 3 prong cord. Bought a new one from home depot and installed it. I need to know what I should do with the old green/yellow wire that used to be attached to the green screw on the frame.

Options are:

  1. Cap it with a wirenut. I.e. Dont use it.
  2. connect it to the white neutral terminal with the white wire.
  3. Other???

Ive been told various options which leads me to believe that they are guessing. I dont want to get a shock and die.

Please help!!

Thanks!

New 4 prong…Black hot to left…White neutral in the middle…Red hot to the right and the green ground goes directly to the chassis of the machine as demonstrated to your top left in the pic.

Hi thanks… but what about the green/yellow wire that was the old ground and is built into the dryer?

Do I cap it? or put it on the ground along with the other green wire?

Thanks
