Kenmore washer will not agitate or spin

At the end of the wash cycle the water drained but would not spin. The washer will fill with water but will not agitate or spin. It will drain while making a loud clicking noise.

Please help, as I am a do-it-yourself inclined person, but I have never worked on washing machines.
