Hi, I have a KitchenAid KDFE104SS0 dishwasher that will not fill with water. When I hit start, I can hear the drain kick in, then hear water filling in the tub, and then nothing. It just sits there.
I thought maybe it was the water inlet valve or the float switch. I replaced both of those and it didn’t fix the problem.
I tried running the diagnostic program on it, but I have never run a diagnostic program on a dishwasher so I wasn’t sure how to interpret the results. It flashed the codes 8/2, then 7/1, then 6/4, then 8/1. It then filled, then something ran I couldn’t tell what it sounded like a series of clicks, then it ran normally with water, then it drained. Then the diagnostic stopped.
I then tried running the dishwasher again, and again it drained, filled with water, then stopped.
I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any advice?
