The LED light over NORMAL is flashing, but the dishwasher won’t start. We turned off the breaker, then the next morning tried again…Nothing.
After reading through forums, my husband checked the ribbon (someone suggested disconnecting then reconnecting it)…nothing.
One forum said it could be the Thermal Fuse, but upon reading farther my husband found someone that said "if any lights are on it’s NOT the thermal fuse"…is that correct?
So he finally went to Appliance Parts Pros and ordered the whole electronic panel (mother board)…it arrived in record time (thank you) but after my husband replaced the electronic panel it STILL has the blinking light over NORMAL and won’t turn on. He put the old electronic panel back in.
While he is out today I started reading this forum and found what I thought would be a "fix". I opened the soap dispenser door, turned the breaker back on, closed the soap dispenser door, closed the dishwasher door, and held CANCEL…suddenly it started (the number 2 was on the display) it sounded like it was draining (all though there was no water in it) for about 45 seconds then it shut off, and went back to the blinking light over NORMAL.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what our next step should be? Thank you so much for any info you can give
