The left double burner will not heat but the power light remains on constantly. How do I get to the inner workings and can I repace the component(s) easily

Most likely the problem is a bad infinite switch for this burner.

In order to access the part the cooktop has to be removed from the counter first. Remove all knobs. Then remove the screws around the burner box and carefully pull up the glass top.

The new switch comes with the installation instructions.
