2 year old KitchenAid Model# - KSRG25FKSS16 Ice maker not making ice. It wont fill. Front dispenses water. I thawed it out, disconnected ice maker, thawed out entire inside to ensure the line was not frozen, no joy. Any suggestions? Which is the timer/controller for this model? Is it the pc board, the dispense motor inside freezer door? Suggestions?

Gene - oddly, almost 1yr to the day I am finding your post, with the same trouble 
I think this is my issue but just want to make sure before I order a new optics board.
So - to test my icemaker, I open the freezer door, making sure the icemaker is ‘ON’, and hold the flap on the left closed. If I hold the light switch closed the red LED on the right side near the ice maker ON/OFF slider blinks.
Is this the indication you mention that requires replacing the optics board?

Do not touch the light switch and redo the test. Post the results.
Post the complete model number of the refrigerator if you do need the correct part number.

where is the on off switch and the other optic board i see the one behind the flapper u hold in.
