We have a KitchenAid Superba wall oven with a microwave oven with the model# KEMS307GBS3 that was manufactured in April 2001. Last night we turned the self-cleaning function on for the first time. The display estimated the time that the cleaning cycle would be done. A half hour after that time I assumed that the cleaning cycle was done, the fan was still on, and I pressed cancel on the oven. Since then the oven doesn’t turn off. I don’t have a thermometer to put in the oven but the walls of the oven are hot/very warm to the touch with the door open. The element on the top is not on. If I close the door the fan will eventually turn on. We’ve switched off the breaker at least twice for over an hour and as soon as we switch the breaker on the oven warms back up. This seems atypical to others who have problems with the oven not turning on after using the self-cleaning option. I’m not sure if the control board/panel needs to be replaced because it doesn’t sound like a thermal fuse at all. Any ideas?
