I am trying to replace the knob on my washer that you push in and turn to your selection then pull out to start the washer - part #21001526. I can’t figure out how to get the old one off. I was told to take the cap off the knob and would see some clips inside to push and the knob would come off. I took this cap off and am unable to find these clips. Was I told wrong? How do I get this knob off to put the new one on?
The service manual on your machine just says to take off the knob, so that’s no help, and I do not have one of those models in front of me.
Take the back panel off of the console and see if there are not instructions on the back of the timer about how to take it off.
