Performa (maytag) washer pavt920aww, when it agitates or spins, it makes a loud clunking sound, sporadically. When it spins, going back and forth you hear that loud clunking. Sound like metal almost.and it’s pretty loud. I have the front panel of the washer off and it’s pretty loud when it does make the noise. It’s not consistent either. I did another load and it wasn’t as bad, but heard it more when it was spinning, when agitating.
It still washes, fills with water, spins, drains…
IT’s coming from under the washing bowl, under the metal where the pc sticks up into the basket.
What is at the bottom of the baseket at the bottom? cog? etc?
