I know my problem is similar to others I have read about but I wanted to post my symptoms to see what advice I could get.
Gas ignites for the first 2 cycles when dryer is first started. After that, I can see the ignitor heat up (orange glow under the front right side) and stay lit for 20 to 30 seconds but no gas ignition. This cycle repeats every time I start the dryer after it has cooled down.
From what I have read so far, it sounds like the gas burner valve assembly needs to be replaced. But I also read that the ignitor may need to be replaced if it is glowing orange (not getting hot enough to ignite the gas).
