My machine has the LE error code in the display. Machine will not function properly and shuts down.
Looking for repair guidance
Well, in the scheme of things this is about the worst thing you can see on your machine display.
Diagnosing this problem is so difficult that the service manual, (here it is) just tells you to call for tech service. Unfortunately the chances of the tech diagnosing and fixing are not all that great either.

What this error means in LG world is that the main control board is not communicating with the motor and its components and does not believe that the motor is turning. This causes the main board to shut down the washer and display the code.
If you are lucky, the problem is a frayed or shorted wire between the control board and the motor. So the first thing you want to check the wiring and if you are really lucky this will be the problem, and if you are really, really lucky you will find the break.
If this is not the problem, replacing the hall sensor should be your next step. This is a tachometer type device that is likely to fail to tell the main control board the motor is turning.

After this, well, the stator, motor and other expensive parts are in play as possible problems.
You can search the web for "LG LE washer error". It’s pretty discouraging.
Good luck, hope this helps.
