I have a 3yr old Whirlpool Cabrio dryer. For the past 4 months I have been having problems with the lint bypassing my lint screen and going directly into the piping in my wall. I have had a contractor come out 4 times to clean out the pipe in my wall and the vent that leads outside. Everytime I pull the lint screen out after a cyle it only has lint in one corner of the screen. I have had a tech out who said there was nothing wrong with my dryer. All he did was disconect it from the wall and said that becuase it was not showing any airflow problem disconected form the wall that my dryer was fine. He totally disregarded the point of the lint screen not collecting the lint. I am very frustrated and have spent 100’s of dollors cleaning my vent and on repair technicians. I have ordered a new lint screen but am still waiting for it. I am debating calling another tech to come out to the house. Meanwhile I have my dryer hooked up to a dryer hose leading out my window because I don’t want to clog the one in my wall again and cause a fire. Can you please help.
With a little luck the new filter will fix the problem.
If not then all I can suggest is that the air chute (Item 1 in Section 3) be pulled out of the unit and inspected. Perhaps it has a problem with the filter fitting inside properly…
If the chute has to be pulled be sure to clean/check the blower wheel as it is probably also getting clogged with lint.

thank you so much. I just received and email that my filter was on backorder but may be available on 12./20. Let’s hope this does the trick.
